A very common question recently has been dealing with Canvas and the various ways students are organized: in-person, fully remote, cohort A, cohort B, etc. Teachers want to give assignments based on these groupings, not necessarily the "Genesis section" they are in.
This has led some teachers to asking for different courses to manage the assignments - which can be done, but will actually create a lot of extra work for teachers having to manage multiple courses. You are welcome to do this, but I think we have found a better way for most.
