One of the most frequent calendar questions we receive is, "Can't we have the school calendar in Canvas, Google and the website?"  This is because teachers and students primarily live in Canvas for academics, while some like having Google or other calendaring apps to manage their schedules, yet we need things on the website for the public.

We now have a solution that should meet everyone's needs.  In Canvas, we have the following calendars:
  • District: School Closings, Board Meetings and District wide events
  • Pascack Hills/Pascack Valley: School-wide events such as back-to-school night, Fine Arts Festival, etc...
  • Rotation: R1, R4, etc... and Pascack Period information
  • PH/PV Faculty Only: Faculty meetings or other events that are meant for Faculty only

These calendars are managed by Central Office (District) and the school main offices, all in Canvas.  All information in these calendars push to the website as appropriate (District and School), and are available as iCal feeds (Google Calendar, iCalendar, etc...) if you want to manage your schedule in this way.  If you go into your Canvas calendar, you can turn these layers on and off as you deem necessary.

For those who want these calendars in their Google Calendar or iCalendar, you have two options. These options are listed below, by school:
