There is currently a bug with Musescore that causes it to crash.

The workaround is to turn off the laptop WiFi, open Musescore, then turn the laptop WiFi back on.

While you are in Musescore, go to the preferences and disable "startcenter."

Once you disable startcenter, you will no longer have to turn off the WiFi to launch Musescore."
