Instructions for Faxing and Emailing from a Copier follow below.  Instructions to fax from your email client can be found here

1) Log in to the copier of your choice and place your document on the platen or in the document feeder.

2) Select "Scan and Send"

3) Select "New Destination".  (Over time as you save contacts to the Address Book, you can select that too.)

4a) On this screen, be sure to select E-MailDo NOT select I-Fax or any of the other tempting options.

4b) Please re-read step 4a.  Step 4a is where most people go wrong.  To fax, please select E-Mail and not I-Fax.

4c) If you still select I-Fax after reading step 4a and step 4b, you will be heckled.

Selecting Email to send a Fax seems counterintuitive but that's the way it is!  This is the interface design we are stuck with unfortunately.

5a) If faxing, enter the Fax number followed email address field shown.

5b) If emailing, simply enter the email address of the recipient and click OK.

6) Click OK on the next screen.

7) Click OK again.

8) Click "Start Sending" to send the Fax (finally!)

9) You will get a success/failure confirmation message sent to your email.  You may have to wait a few minutes for this confirmation. It literally can take 5 minutes or so.

Please note:  The copier itself does not really indicate anything happened one way or the other.  There is a 'ding' sound and then it just sits there.  Your primary indication that the fax was sent successfully will be the email receipt.
