You may have a situation where you have two or more sections in a Canvas course that are named the same. In the past, all students were placed into one section but with the new rollover process, the students are broken out into different sections.
As a result, it may be more difficult to tell what section is what when it comes to assignments or grading.
Fore example...
As the teacher, you are able to rename sections to something that makes more sense to you.
To rename a section, first go to the course Settings.
Next, select the Sections tab and then click on the section name.
Click on Edit Section
Edit the Section Name: field and then Update Section to save your changes. Do not make changes to any other fields.
