To further enhance the safety and security of our district, we are establishing a new guest WiFi access procedure. I know this will require some planning on your part, but it will significantly benefit our district in the long run and protect us from compromised situations.

Here's how to access guest WiFi moving forward:

Parent/Guardian Access:

  • Many parents/guardians were given WiFi access at their Back to School Night. A lot signed on, especially at PV. Those credentials did not change and they will connect to the WiFi when they're on school grounds anytime after school hours.
  • This will enable parents to connect their phones to the WiFi and communicate with their children while on school grounds after hours.
  • For anyone who did not attend Back to School Night, the schools can use the same flyer information that was shared in September and give those log on credentials to Parents/Guardians inquiring. This WiFi network can only be used after school hours.

Daily Subs and Visitors:
  • Each school's front office staff has a procedure for daily subs and individual visitors to access guest WiFi.

Small Groups of Visitors (5-10 people):
  • Please let us know as soon as possible, up to 24 hours advance notice.
  • Submit a ticket with visitors' full names and their school district or company.
  • We will reply back to the ticket with WiFi credentials your guests can use.
Large Groups of Visitors (10+ people):
  • We can create a unique login for large groups.
  • Submit a ticket as soon as possible, up to 48 hours in advance.
  • We need to know where they are coming from (school district or company) and the exact dates and times they need WiFi access.
Large Events Requiring Guest WiFi:
  • Principals and/or Administrators, please email me with a list of events your school is hosting this year where guests will need WiFi.
  • Include the event name, date, and times.
  • We will have a unique login available prior to the day of the event.
Last-Minute Visitors Needing WiFi (Emergencies Only):
  • We aim to limit these instances, but we understand there may be circumstances.
  • In an emergency, please contact me or Willie directly, and we will assist your guest in gaining WiFi access.

Everyone's cooperation is crucial in maintaining a secure environment for our district. Thank you for your understanding and support.
