Posts are informational messages; these are not for emergencies. Recipients will receive them via email and/or app, depending on their preferences.
- From “Home” click “Posts” in the upper left
- Click “New Post”
- When the posting window appears, you must fill the following:
- To - these are the groups (classes; club; sport team) you can send posts to (typically groups you own/manage). Note: you cannot send to individuals
- Post as - by default it will post as you
- Who should see this - by default it is Parents, Students and Staff. NOTE: Out-of-District advisors/coaches are registered as guests. "Guests" MUST BE SELECTED in order for them to receive the message
- Subject of Post
- Description - this is the actual message you wish send
- Notification Options:
- Send at User preferred time - this is the default ParentSquare sends as and best to respect recipients requests
- Send instantly - use sparingly to avoid being considered spam
- Do not notify
- Once the post is prepared, you can preview, save, post, or schedule to post
- Preview - in the notification options, click the Preview button to see what the post will look like.
- To save or schedule a post:
- Click on the down arrow of the Post Now button
- Select your option
- Follow prompts as appropriate
- To post - click “Post Now” in the notification options.
