• Tech should initially log in with their Tech credentials (which should already have admin status. If not see the Systems Administrator.)
• Log into the TechShare network drive (\\\echshare.pascack.org), navigate to the TempSwap section and then to the "PaperVision Stuff" folder.
• Copy the "PaperVision - Complete" folder to the "C:/Users/Public/Public Documents" folder
• Copy the "PaperVision - Complete" folder to the "C:/Users/Public/Public Documents" folder
• From within the "PaperVision - Complete" folder, navigate to the "papervision dlls" folder and copy all of the .dll & .ocx files to the laptop's C:/Windows/sysWOW64 folder
• Open Terminal or Command Prompt and, minimally, enter the following 3 commands singularly and hit ENTER after each:
• regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\stamin32 • regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\comdlg32.ocx • regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\mscomctl.ocx
[ TECH NOTE: After executing the above commands for "mscomctl.ocx" & "comdlg32.ocx" you'll receive an error message which can be 'OK'ed'/ignored ]

• regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\comdlg32.
• Once those .dll's & ocx's are registered, locate the "PaperVision Distribution Assistant.exe" application, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator"
• In the "Windows protected your PC" window, click on the "More info" link there within
• Click on "Run anyway" button
• In the "User Account Control' window, click "Yes", then log out of admin account to get to the Login window
• Log in as user on user's laptop
• From the "C:/Users/Public/Public Documents" folder, copy the PaperVision - Complete" folder to the user's Documents folder (as so they don't inadvertently delete or "otherwise" it, also creating a shortcut to the app on their desktop to also prevent such action).
• In the ensuing "User Account Control" window, enter Tech's admin credentials and the click on the "Yes" button
• Application should open
• Go home
[ TECH NOTE: There was one instance in which the app didn't open on the first attempt. Tech had to re-run the regsvr32 commands again in Terminal, had to then right click on the app and select "Run as administrator" again and then did the app open. Jus' sayin' is all…]
